Here at HawaiianShavedIce.com, some common questions we receive from customers are, “Can you ship a bag of shaved ice?” and “Where can I buy a bag of shaved ice?” Maybe you don’t own a shaved ice machine. Maybe you don’t have a shaved ice store or stand in your hometown. And we all know, sometimes you are just in the mood for a sweet, refreshing shaved ice treat, without having to wait or do the work to make it yourself. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could just reach right into your own freezer and scoop out some already shaved ice and then simply add your favorite syrups?
Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. We can’t ship shaved ice. For one thing, it would often melt before it arrived at your doorstep. So, you’d end up with a soggy box and no shaved ice -- definitely not the delicious treat you were hoping for. “But why couldn’t you send a cooler filled with dry ice or some other type of freezer pack to keep the shaved ice frozen?” our customers often ask. If we shipped a bag of shaved ice with dry ice, you’d find that when you received your shipment, the shaved ice would be frozen back into a large clump, which would defeat the purpose of having us send shaved ice in the first place.
Luckily, it’s not too difficult to find shaved ice if you need it for yourself or for an event. Try searching for a local rental store near you to rent your own shaved ice machine. You could also try contacting an ice wholesaler or dealer in your area. And, of course, we here at Hawaiian Shaved Ice make it easy for you to purchase your own shaved ice machine.
