You have excitedly purchased a shaved ice machine and a delicious selection of flavored syrups to go with it. Perhaps you are starting a shaved ice business of your own or you are just preparing an afternoon of family fun. Whatever your reason may be, you’ll need to make sure that you have a sufficient amount of syrup to produce as many cups of shaved ice as you’ll need. If this is all very new to you, it can sometimes be hard to even determine if your syrup stock is sufficient for service. Having to halt service because you’ve run out of product can certainly be a disappointment and to avoid that, we’ve got a helpful guide to make everything much easier for you.

Firstly and most importantly, the number of servings that you can get from one bottle of shaved ice syrup depends on the size of your individual servings. If your average dome of ice is five feet tall, then you’ll obviously need much more syrup! Also, if you’re planning to produce several servings, this will also affect how much syrup you’ll need.

Based on our best estimates, we’ve put together a handy chart of the recommended amounts of syrup based on your cup sizes.

Servings Per Cup

Remember, our shaved ice and snow cone syrups come in pint, quart. and gallon containers, containing 16 ounces, 32 ounces and 128 ounces respectively.
